Plein Air Richmond is Richmond's ORIGINAL outdoor painting event presented and hosted by Brazier Gallery and benefits a non-profit organization.
30 Plein Air Artists from the United States
will meet in Richmond for one amazing week to create paintings of the city.
"A painting done outside rather than in a studio. The term comes from the French en plein air, meaning 'in the open air'. The impressionists were particularly interested in the influence of changing light outdoors on color."
The Richmond SPCA is a non-profit, no-kill humane organization dedicated to the principle that every life is precious. They save the lives of more than 4,000 homeless animals each year and care for about 350 cats and dogs daily.
