Plein Air Richmond is an outdoor painting event presented and hosted by Brazier Gallery.  This year the event will benefit the animals cared for by the Richmond SPCA.  
The Juror for Submissions is Duane Keiser.  
The Judge of Awards  is Kathy Anderson.

30 Plein Air Artists from the United States
will meet in Richmond for one amazing Week to create paintings of the city.

"Fast and Fresh" :  
Saturday, June 25, 9:30am - 11:30am

Location:  Carytown
At this time, juried and non-juried artists will start and complete paintings.
These “wet” paintings will be available for purchase right off the easels.

What is "plein air" painting?

"A painting done outside rather than in a studio. The term comes from the French en plein air, meaning 'in the open air'. The impressionists were particularly interested in the influence of changing light outdoors on color."
